Tangible Music was started by industry veteran, Gary Brody, in the Spring of 1995. After years with one of the big six major labels, Brody decided it was time to launch his own label - a label that would bring exposure to some of today's finest singer-songwriters from across the U.S. Not hung-up on specializing in one particular style of music, or worrying how "acceptable" the music was, he knew his mission was to expose great music rather than just to market music. Tangible has been referred to as "an eclectic bunch of singer-songwriters." Brody describes it as "must hear music." Genres include folk, acoustic pop, roots-rock, alternative country and blues.
